other allium variety products, announces the installation of the first
European shallot peeling line in the U.S. domestic market.
Jim Mulcahy, director of operations for Merex, says, "The line machine peels eight times faster than by hand, and more importantly, Ph factors are greatly reduced due to less handling. Moreover, vacuum suction with carbon filters eliminate noxious fumes associated with the peeling of any allium type product.
Merex Corp. has marketed both peeled shallots and garlic for nearly 15 years under the Bon Campo brand and several other private labels. Private label packaing available.
