Winterglow Sensational Drink Recipes Merex introduces its new Winterglow pack of lemons and limes, a delightful combination of luscious lemons and limes. Nothing beats the natural goodness, that tangy twist that comes from the juice of freshly squeezed lemons and limes. Here we feature some great summer drink recipes, for both kids and adults, and a tasty lemon/lime dressing that is also a great marinade for seafood or vegetables cooked on the grill. Winterglow Sensational Drink Recipes: For best results, first make simple syrup - it's easy! Combine 2c. sugar with 1c. water in a saucepan over low heat. Stir constantly until sugar dissolves and liquid thickens. Be careful not to burn. You may save Simple Syrup in the refrigerator Piña Colada   Pisco Sour Winterglow Lemon/Limeade (Non-alcoholic) Margarita Connecticut Cooler (Non-alcoholic) Singapore Sling Cranberry Cooler (Non-alcoholic) Summer Sangria Lemonade Fizz (Non-alcoholic) Daiquiri No-Gin Fizz (Non-alcoholic) Long Island Iced Tea Citrus Vinaigrette/Marinade Piña Colada (using Baby Pineapples) Alcohol: Rum Mixers: Coconut and Pineapple Juice Recipe: Cut off top of Pineapple just below the crown and scoop out flesh without breaking shell. Put in blender with 1/4 cup each of coconut cream and high quality rum. Blend well. Pour contents of recipe into pineapple shell, cover with crown and insert straw into pineapple. Chill and serve. For a lovely individual desert, try serving individual pineapple sherberts into pineapple shells Winterglow Lemon/Limeade (Non-alcoholic) Combine juice of 4 lemons and 2 limes with 2 oz. Simple syrup (or to taste) and pour over ice. More non-alcoholic recipes below. Pisco Sour (Makes 2) Combine 2 oz. Pisco Brandy in a blender with 2 oz. Simple syrup; about one-half egg white; juice of 1 lemon and one cup ice in a blender. Blend until egg white foams. Pour into glass and wait to drink until foam settles on top. For authentic Pisco Sour, top off with a dash of Angostura bitters. Margarita - A classic! (Makes 2) 2 oz. Quality tequila 2 oz juice of freshly squeezed lime 1 1/3 oz. Triple Sec Simply Syrup to taste Pour ingredients into shaker with ice. Shake briskly and pour and strain into glasses rimmed with salt. Citrus Vinaigrette/Marinade Dash of Salt and Pepper into stainless steel or glass bowl; Juice of half of a lemon and half of a lime. Begin to whisk as you slowly stream 3 oz. extra virgin olive oil into mixture. Sangria One bottle red wine 4 oz brandy 1oz Triple Sec 1 oz. Simple Syrup Juice of a lemon; an orange; Slices of lemon, lime, orange and apple or other cut fruit Pour all ingredients (except cut fruit) into a container; stir and chill until ready to serve. Pour into pitcher or punch bowl and garnish with cut fruit; add ice Daiquiri Pour 1 ½ oz. White rum, juice of half a lime and 1 t. superfine sugar into cocktail shaker with ice. Shake briskly, strain into chilled glass. Garnish with slice of lime. Long Island Iced Tea 1/3 oz. White rum 1/3 oz. Vodka 1/3 oz. Tequila 1.3 oz. Cointreau Juice of freshly squeezed lime Pour all ingredients into a glass over ice and stir. Top up with Coca-Cola. Garnish with wedge of lime. Singapore Sling 1 ½ oz. Gin 2/3 oz. Cherry brandy Juice of a wedge of freshly squeezed lemon Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake. Strain into glass and top up With soda water. Garnish with slice of lemon. Connecticut Cooler ½ oz. Rum ¼ oz. Juice of freshly squeezed orange ¼ oz. Juice of freshly squeezed lemon dash grenadine Pour ingredients into shaker with ice. Shake and strain into chilled glass. Non-alcoholic Sensational Recipes from Winterglow: Winterglow Lemon/Limeade Combine juice of 4 lemons and 2 limes with 2 oz. Simple syrup (or to taste) and pour over ice Cranberry Cooler 2 oz. Cranberry juice cocktail 1.2 oz. Juice of freshly squeezed lime Pour into glass over ice; stir; top up with club soda or ginger ale Lemonade Fizz 1 oz. Juice of freshly squeezed lemon 2 t. simple syrup Combine in glass with ice, stir; top up with club soda No-Gin Fizz 4 oz. Juice of freshly squeezed lemon 1 oz.
